Renate comes originally from Bergen and has been working with the hotel and restaurant business for many years. Today she is working as the general manager at Basecamp Explorer Spitsbergen. She has been living now 10 years in Spitsbergen and loves it. She loves all the possibilities the island has to offer, the snowmobiling, dog sledging, skiing and hiking. Life is good on Spitsbergen!
