MOA-MARIA KERO
Moa-Maria grew up in the Northern part of Sweden where the urge for exploring nature began at a very early age. Many weekend and vacations were spent skiing, hiking, and dog sledding in Swedish Lapland. One of her first memories was when her parents took her friends home from her birthday party with a dog sled. Moa Maria started travelling and working abroad from the age of 16 and when her feet touched the frozen tundra in Svalbard in 2009, she knew she was stuck and bit by the polar bug.
Moa-Maria started working in the reception at Basecamp Hotel in 2015 and after a short stopover the mainland studying Tourism Management, she became a Basecamper again in 2018 when she joined our sales team. When she’s not in the office designing adventures for our guests, she’s out exploring Svalbard with her family. The family members have 22 legs all together, can you guess how many paws there are?
