Frida is a 23 years old fresh breath from Kragerø, that you can meet at Fangststasjonen, outside Longyearbyen. She moved to Svalbard in February 2019. The plan was to work in Longyearbyen for 6 months, like most people she was bitten by the Svalbard enthusiasm. After her time in army with a lot of time outside, it took approx. two weeks before she realized that the cold Arctic felt like home and therefore chose to stay.
Frida is always happy, social, efficient. She values service highly and will always give it a little extra for guests and colleagues feel good. She also always has some tricks up her sleeve. Basecamp was so lucky to have her as part of the team in September 2019. In her spare time, it’s not hard to get her to join trips, both with snowmobile, on a hike and dogsledding. As we say in Norway, “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!”
