Pack a daypack (about 20-35 litres) with extra snacks, packed lunch, drinking bottle with water (min. 5 dl) and extra layers of clothes.
Wear steady and water resistance hiking shoes. Put on a comfortable outdoor pants with wool underwear underneath. On the upper body we recommend wool underwear and windproof jacket. Bring extra layer of wool and a thin down jacket or similar. You will get warm and sweaty on the hike and it is often chilly on top. Remember a warm hat, buff and warm windproof mittens or warm gloves.
This hike goes into unrouged terrain without roads and tracks. Depending on route we might even cross the rivers coming from the glacier. Be prepared for a steep hike in the beginning of the trip, and when we reach the plateau the views is all worth the sweat to reach the top.
In Svalbard, weather conditions can change quickly. This means that we might need to make changes to the planned adventure program. We will always do our outmost to give you a vast experience in the Arctic, and at the same time we must be aware of the destination’s characteristics.
