Magic of the Arctic

2,5-day summer adventure to Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel

Experience the magnificent High Arctic up close and join us on our summer adventure to beautiful Isfjord Radio at Cape Linnè. We embark on a journey to Isfjord Radio by open boats, and on our way we will have time to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery, the mighty bird cliffs and the animal wildlife. Far away from the civilization in Longyearbyen, you will learn more about the history, biological diversity and geological conditions that make Isfjord Radio such a fascinating place to visit. The former radio station is situated at the outermost part of the Isfjorden, with majestic mountains overlooking the Arctic ocean. In combination with our unique accommodation option, you will enjoy a level of quality and comfort that is unexpected so far into the wilderness.

Our guide will meet you in the reception of your hotel at 17:00 pm. You will be briefed about the trip, equipment and outfit details. Transport to the quay, where our polarcircelboat is ready to start the safari tour towards Isfjord Radio. We spend the afternoon exploring the great area of Kapp Linné, and learn more about the wildlife at the station. We’ll be served a 5-course dinner in the evening. In Spitsbergen, weather conditions can change quickly. We can meet heavy winds, snowstorms, thick fog, crevasses and lack of snow or ice. This means we might need to make changes to the planed route, and this might lead up us not arriving to the planned destination. It can also mean that we need to use a different transportation style or accommodation than what was described in the program.
