We are Fully Covid Vaccinated

Basecamp Explorer Kenya is glad to confirm that all its staff working in the Nairobi office and its safari camps in Masai Mara are fully vaccinated against Covid 19. Our staff received the 1st dose in June 2021 and completed the 2nd dose in August 2021. The vaccination drive will ensure that our staff members remain safe and healthy. Additionally, it gives confidence to everyone we interact with and our guests that they can feel safely welcome to stay with us.

With vaccines becoming more widely available, it is encouraging to note an upward trend for the return of travel month on month. And combined with stringent safety procedures in every aspect of how we operate alongside the luxury of space at our small and intimate camps, we believe that a safari is the most appealing option for travel at this time.

Moving forward, we will continue to adhere to our health and safety protocols which include everything from hand washing hygiene to enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols in the guest room and camp public areas as well as innovative contactless check-ins to support safe travel while improving the experience for our guests and staff. As we reach a turning point in the pandemic, the hospitality industry continues to encourage all individuals to get vaccinated as we unite to fully recover and return to a sense of normalcy.

To put your mind at ease, read here on the measures we have in place to ensure the safest environment and the wellbeing of every guest and team member at each of our properties.
