Enjoolata Awareness Centre is now Open
Basecamp Explorer Kenya recently celebrated the opening of The Enjoolata Awareness Centre as part of our conservation efforts to highlight the rich blend of the Maasai culture and enhance safari experience for our guests. This innovative and unique differentiator in the heart of Masai Mara aims to encourage the community spirit and inspire people to come together through awareness creation.
With the opening of the Enjoolata Center, we invite all guests to an exciting experience with the Maasai Culture. The Centre will create an opportunity for you to experience educational tourism, an unforgettable learning experience, as you get a glimpse of the savannah as it used to be.
Located in Basecamp Masai Mara near the Talek village, the center will showcase Maasai culture all year round. Guests visiting the center will have an insight into Maasai’s ancient rituals, attire, beliefs, as well as their peaceful co-existence with the wildlife who have roamed the Masai Mara plains for generations.
The centre’s in-built facilities including exhibition halls, video editing rooms, a library, a conference room, an outdoor movie square as well as the Basecamp Maasai Brand arts and crafts centre, are expected to host a variety of activities including exhibitions, films, lectures, and cultural themed training classes. Under the Enjoolata roof, visitors from around the country and the world will have a deeper understanding of the unique and fascinating Maasai culture.
Join us at the Enjoolata Awareness Centre and together we can continue to preserve the wildlife and one of the last surviving traditional cultures on Earth.
