Educational Safari
The concept of an Educational Safari is a direct expansion of ecotourism, which allows guests to learn and transform through cross-cultural engagements and personal reflection by exploring global issues, exchanging knowledge, and gaining practical experience firsthand.
At Basecamp, we consider an Educational Safari to be a safari experience that leaves a minimal impact on the environment and the local people. A fundamental element of our educational safari is the experiential learning process on environmental issues such as the protection of natural resources, endangered species, and the preservation of culture in Masai Mara. The safari is conducted through lectures, involvement in conservation projects, and learning from our knowledgeable Maasai safari guides.
