Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, a short drive will take you to Wilson Airport, where you’ll board a light aircraft flight to Masai Mara (for those arriving late at night or early in the morning, we can arrange accommodation in Nairobi at an additional cost). Upon landing at Masai Mara, your knowledgeable Maasai guide will greet you at the Olkoimbo airstrip and accompany you on a brief game drive en-route to Basecamp Masai Mara for check-in. Indulge in a delectable lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive starting at 1600Hrs, where you will witness the renowned wildebeest migration, encounter the majestic Big Five, and experience a wealth of other wildlife. As the sun sets, savor a delightful three-course dinner, share captivating stories, and marvel at the starry night sky before retiring to your comfortable tent at Basecamp Masai Mara.

Join your guide on a breathtaking sunrise game drive, witnessing the African savannah comes alive with diverse wildlife species roaming the vast grasslands of the Mara. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, followed by an intriguing camp walk led by our naturalist, where you will visit community projects supported by Basecamp. Explore the Enjoolata Awareness Centre, which offers valuable insights into the Maasai Mara and Maasai culture through informative exhibitions, video editing rooms, a library, and the Basecamp Masai Brand workshop. Join your guide on a morning game drive after that head back to camp for breakfast, and bid farewell to Basecamp Masai Mara for your onward safari adventure to Saruni Wild with a game drive en-route. Arrive at Saruni Wild for lunch. Later relax and rejuvenate, before embarking on an exclusive game drive in the afternoon within the Mara North Conservancy, a protected area spanning over 30,000 acres and bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore this lesser-known corner of the Mara ecosystem, teeming with abundant wildlife, in complete privacy. Wind up your safari adventure with a sundowner. Head back to camp for dinner followed by relaxation at the campfire as you let the lull of the savannah soothe you.

Awake to an early morning game drive, setting out to observe the magnificent big cats and other predators of the Mara or get an opportunity to experience the Warriors Academy – a special interactive safari experience with a strong educational flavor, designed especially for individuals, families with children or small groups. It is a fun learning experience, that allows you to explore not only the wildlife but also the authentic lifestyle of one of the most well-known and culturally fascinating tribes left in Africa; the Maasai (advance booking). Afterward, return to the camp for a delectable lunch and indulge in rejuvenating treatments at the Maasai Wellbeing Space. In the afternoon, head out on a game drive that will take you to a special area where you can witness the largest tower of giraffes, followed by a delightful dinner at the camp. Make the most of your last day by joining your guide in an early morning game drive safari before heading back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast gather your personal belongings then say your goodbyes and your guide will drive you to the airstrip. Enjoy one final game drive as you make your way to the airstrip, where you will catch your flight to Nairobi and then connect to your onward destination.
