9 Days safari experience through the Basecamp Circuit

Journey through the Basecamp circuit with this 9-day safari that allows you to have a taste of Masai Mara in all Basecamp properties. Start off at Wilderness Camp in Mara Naboisho Conservancy our nostalgic tribute to the safaris of the early explorers and safari pioneers. In the Masai Mara, stay at Basecamp Masai Mara this is where our story started. Here guests become more than visitors, they become part of the Maasai community. Then at Eagle View in Mara Naboisho Conservancy we invite you to gaze towards the future of Sustainable Tourism from an eagle’s-eye perspective within a highly acclaimed model for nature conservation management. Finally, Leopard Hill concludes your journey through the Basecamp circuit located in the prime game viewing area of Mara Naboisho and is a stunning camp ideal for those who want to experience their safari in style.

Day 1

When you land at Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our driver guide who will transfer you to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to Mara Naboisho. On arrival, our Maasai guide will transfer you to Wilderness Camp where you will spend the next 2 nights.  Wilderness camp is tucked away deep inside the incomparable Saddle Valley where there are absolutely no unnecessary distractions- it is just you, the Maasai, the wildlife, and the stars. Meals are served either at the restaurant or under the stars with the sounds of the bush surrounding you and nights are spent in comfortable tents with great bedding and bucket showers.

A few hours of walking with your guide gives you an opportunity to not only get to see Africa’s magnificent landscapes and wildlife but you’ll also get to hear, smell, feel, taste and intimately sense what our earliest ancestors and later explorers experienced while traveling on foot. After lunch transfer to your next destination, Basecamp Masai Mara the ‘mother of all camps. Located right on the river’s edge, Basecamp Masai Mara offers magnificent views across the Masai Mara National Park, and the wildlife viewing is incredible!  Enjoy a well-prepared dinner then retire by the roaring campfire as you share your day’s experience.
