Useful information at Diani
Here is some useful information when travelling to Diani:
Credits Cards are widely accepted in all major establishments in Diani, with the most recognized being Master Card, Visa, and American Express. However, you will need some cash handy because smaller shops will only accept cash.
The water in many small towns is purified and safe to drink, but we recommend drinking bottled water/drinks which are readily available at hotels, shops and malls.
Most resorts in Diani, particularly along the beach offer other options besides the traditional all-inclusive option. If you are on half board basis it means that your accommodation, breakfast and one other meal usually dinner is included in your price. This is perfect for those who plan to explore throughout the day and come back knowing you have a hot dinner waiting. You can make arrangements with the resort to offer you lunch at an additional cost or if you are out for daytime excursions you can grab lunch where you are.
As you take walks along the beach, beware of the beach operators, commonly referred to as beach boys who will try so hard to persuade you to buy their wares. The good news is, they are not allowed in the resorts, so they won’t bother you so much. But if you need to buy any items from them, which are lovely by the way, they’ll be more than glad to assist.
