a safari camp in the wild
Wilderness Camp is our nostalgic tribute to the safaris of the early explorers and safari pioneers. Free from artificial luxury and modern disturbances providing the perfect escape close to nature with optimal tranquility and stunning sunrise views. Wilderness camp is how safaris were meant to be.
We are delighted to announce that Wilderness Camp reopened its doors on September 17th, 2023, and eagerly await the return of guests ready to immerse themselves in the authentic Wilderness Camp experience. Join us for an unforgettable journey into the wild
Tucked away deep inside the Saddle Valley, it is just you, the Maasai, the wildlife and the stars.
From Wilderness, we offer our signature walking safaris. These can be tailor-made to suite your preferences, ranging from short hikes to several days in the bush.
“Yes, this was the way it was meant to be” – Karen Blixen, Out of Africa
Our five tents have been delicately placed around the Saddle Valley rim to allow for complete privacy and ultimate views of the savannah. The dining tent offers a romantic sitting area with comfortable leather chairs, carefully selected reading materials and a vintage gramophone. Wilderness Camp is a place of enticing contrast. Its design combines the traditional safari style and a fresh modern feel, for the adventurous traveler bringing you close to nature and indeed to yourself. Allow yourself to be amazed by the magical ambiance of complete stillness and seclusion; perfectly enjoyed alongside our selection of first-class food and drinks.
The price is based on two persons sharing a tent. Price includes accommodation, all meals, mineral water, airstrip transfers, shared game drive safaris, night game drives and guided walking safaris and Naboisho Conservancy fee. Extra fees are additional beverages, domestic and international flights and single room supplement of 105 USD per person per night. Children under 12 years sharing a tent with adults pay 50% of the full rate.
Each tent has comfortable double beds fitted with white linen and plush duvets, a separate bathroom unit with bio-flush toilets and bucket showers and a private outside seating area overlooking the savannah.
