FANTASTIC FAMILY ADVENTURES
Give your loved ones the experience of a lifetime! We balance mighty nature adventures and close moments, so that guests at all ages get the best of Svalbard. Under the northern lights or midnight sun, on a dog sled or by boat, at the historic Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel or in your own lodge by the glacier – give the family Norway’s most exotic holiday.
UNFORGETTABLE FAMILY MEMORIES
great adventures
On family vacations, everyone should have fun. Therefore, we tailor the experiences according to age and interests. Some search for fossils by the shore, while others climb the ice-blue glacier. Some prefer to see Arctic wildlife in a closed boat, while the toughest face the waves in open ribs. Tell us what you like, and we will arrange exciting experiences for everyone.
UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION
Stay in a family room in an authentic trapper’s hotel, enjoy the comfort and history of the outpost by the sea or have the world’s northernmost serviced cottage all to yourself. As the only Norwegian operator, we offer accommodation with a distinctive character outside Longyearbyen.
Isfjord Radio has a spectacular location. I rarely brag about the place in advance - it's so much fun to see guests get chin drops when they arrive.

Our philosophy
More than travel
The Basecamp Explorer Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with the local community in the Masai Mara to protect nature. Together with Basecamp Explorer Kenya, we are one of the most innovative and renowned tour operators in sustainable tourism.
Our isolated and unique base battles are the perfect starting point to experience Svalbard’s wild and untouched nature. Throughout the year, we arrange trips and expeditions for individual travelers, and we tailor programs for groups and companies. Our guests get an authentic and unique experience, and are active participants when we are on tour. Together we get the good feeling of mastery in the Arctic, and together we contribute to better conditions in Kenya. Read more about our projects below.
