Basecamp Masai Mara was honored as the 1^st runners up position during the recently concluded 2017 Mazingira Innovation Awards by Kenya’s Sustainable Travel and Tourism Agenda (STTA Kenya). The awards focused on recognizing and awarding innovations in waste management in hotels, lodges and camps in protected areas.

As a responsible tourism operator, we not only sort the solid waste produced through our operations, but we also extend our program of waste collection, management, and recycling to benefit the local communities.
