TWO NIGHTS ON THE SHIP IN THE ICE

This program is the popular choice of many returning to Basecamp Spitsbergen a second
time. With two nights on the ship, you get more out of the experience and also more time out
in the majestic Arctic nature. After a couple of nights on the ship, perhaps you will also gain
an understanding of how the old polar heroes felt when they realised they would need to
spend one extra winter on board!

Day 1, On arrival at Longyearbyen Airport, you will be met by a Basecamp guide who will take you to the hotel in Longyearbyen. Lunch will be served and there will be time to look around town before we prepare to set off for the ship. The journey to the ship takes a couple of hours and dinner will be served on board on our arrival.

Day 2 When we awake, you can take a cup of coffee out onto the deck to enjoy the Arctic light and
animal life. We then venture towards BilleFjord,where we discover Brucebyen and the Pyramid in addition to the beautiful nature. We return to the ship in the evening in time for dinner.

Day 3 We have an early breakfast before setting off on another journey, which ends back in the "city" in the late afternoon. We may travel along the east coast on the way back.
We round off our experience with a culinary experience at the legendary Huset restaurant
where you can savour the most amazing dishes accompanied by exquisite wines from the wine cellar featuring more than 25,000 bottles of noble vintages.

Day 4 After spending several days on the snowmobile safari, we recommend a dog-sledging trip in the morning prior to your departure. Lunch is served at the Trappers’ Station before we depart for the airport at 1:45pm. The flight departs at 2:55pm.
