Einar Eliassen

EXPEDITION LEADER

Einar came to Svalbard for the first time at the end of May 2007. His first job up here was as a teacher at the local school, but the place he was the happiest was out in the field. He soon quit his job and started guiding, since then he’s been working on boat trips, dogsledding, skiing, snowmobiling. Before starting for Basecamp he worked 4 years as a location manager for natural history filmmakers in Antarctica and Svalbard, providing logistic and safety in the field.
