SVEIN AT TEDX: OUR GRAND PLAN TO SAVE AFRICA’S WILDLIFE

Listen to the story

Åsa Wallin

Åsa is from Stockholm, Sweden, where she used to work within retail, mainly logistics but during one of her travels she saw a glacier and got mesmerized by its beauty. She decided to change her life and six years later she has a bachelor degree in Geoscience and a Master of Science in Glaciology and Polar Environment. It was her studies that brought her to Svalbard, where she was supposed to take two courses at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS). That was in 2014, and she still has no thoughts of leaving the island.
