Adventure Weekend

3 days Adventure Weekend to Nordenskiöld Lodge

Welcome to the worlds northern most commercial cabin. Hidden in the glacier moraine you can find our Nordenskiöld Lodge. Here you can spend your days hiking on the blue glaciers or paddling along the glacier ice, seals and belugas. Here, high up the arctic, far from any traffic, you can really hear the arctic silence.

Day before

Meet the guide in the reception at Basecamp Hotel at 4 pm to go through program and equipment.

Day 1

Your adventure starts in the morning at 8:00 am, when our guide pick you up from your hotel. We sit down and go through the program for the coming days. You can back the needed equipment to a smaller bag (waterproof bags are recommended), and leave rest of your belongings to Basecamp Hotel. Once all set, we dress in rescue suits before heading to the harbor and to our open boat. We travel over Isfjorden and all the way to the Billefjorden and Adolfbukta. There is plenty of wildlife around the fjords at this time of the year, so we have good chances to see some arctic birds, walruses, belugas or even the polar bear. Once at Nordenskiöld Lodge we will enjoy an outdoor lunch and get familiar with the cabin and the surroundings. After lunch, it is time to head out to the arctic nature and explore the beauty around us. Before the evening, we will return to the cabin, sit down for a delicious dinner and relax in a warm sauna.
