Basecamp Trapper´s Hotel - Longyearbyen

Basecamp Trapper´s Hotel is situated in the middle of Longyearbyen close to pubs, restaurant, the bank and shopping mall. This is no doubt the roughest and most special hotel on Spitsbergen. The lodge is furnished with drift wood and board from Barentsburg, the Russian settlement on Spitsbergen, and slate stones and furs.  You will get the feeling of entering a Spitsbergen hunter’s cottage. No rooms are alike, except for the comfortable beds and bathrooms. Breakfast is served around the long table in Traveler’s Club and the Cognac attic with the ceiling of glass, gives you a perfect view at the arctic light.
Basecamp Trapper´s Hotel is a bed and breakfast so that you are free to enjoy the other meals of the day in the many quality restaurants and coffeehouses in the city. Here you will find everything from coffeehouses with Italian dishes to gourmet meals at Huset. You will find that the pub, which is in the same building and with the same atmosphere as the hotel, is a good place to eat.
