Personal porters provided, each porter carries backpack weighing 16 kg for every participant. Chef / cook included
Security: Your equipment list; small extra backpack, warm underwear for cold nights, gloves, cap, warm sleeping bag, a torch, mountain trekking boots, rain/wind stopper jacket and pants, sunglasses, sun lotion, sun hat, water bottle, sweets and nuts
In order to enjoy the mountain, you need to be reasonably fit and used to trekking.

Day to day program

Day itinerary as follows:
Day 1: Nairobi-Mount Kenya - Breakfast and depart north for Naro Moru River Lodge, a three-hour drive, lunch on route. Relax by the pool in the evening
Dinner & overnight at Naro Moru, altitude 2000m

Day 2: Mount Kenya - Breakfast, briefing and preparation at Naro Moru, transfer to Sirimon Gate at 2400 m before start of the Mount Kenya climb. Be ready for an easy to intermediate trek for three hours to Judmaier camp, through lush, green rain forests, thick bamboo forests and giant heath meadows. Picnic lunch on the way,
Dinner & overnight camping at Judmaier camp, 3300 m.

Day 3: Mount Kenya - early start, trekking along Sirimon valley and into the beautiful Liiki North Valley, five hours trekking through meadows rich in flora. Picnic lunch amongst the Giant Lobelia trees. Arrive to the camping site after lunch, relax and explore the Liiki valley around the campsite on 3900 m -
Dinner & overnight at Liiki valley campsite.

Day 4: Mount Kenya - early start, trekking proceeds into McKinder valley, one of the largest and most impressive U-valleys on the mountain. Trek for five to six hours in intermediate terrain, lunch on the way. We pitch our tents at the very foot of the central pillars leading to the main peaks. The camp is located at 4200m with the most impressive and scenic views surrounding us. Preparations for the ascent of Point Lenana.

Day 5: Mount Kenya - The ascent of Point Lenana starts at 2 am. Four to five hours steep and demanding trek/climb towards the peak. We reach the top at 4985 m by sunrise. Enjoy the moment, the breathtaking view, the feeling of being on top of the world… On a clear day you might even see Mount Kilimajaro! We descend via the southwest ridge; two hours trek to McKinder’s hut. Hot soup is waiting for you, relax and celebrate the ascent. Short afternoon excursion around McKinder’s,
Dinner & overnight at 4200 m

Day 6: Mount Kenya-Nairobi
Breakfast and a long but fairly easy trek down through meadows of Gianth Heath via the reputed Vertical Bog. The adventure ends after a four-hour trek through the mountain rain forest at the Metrological station at 3100 m. Transfer to Naro Moru, you are met by your Driver guide, transfer to Nairobi.
