The African Responsible Tourism Awards honors the heroes of responsible tourism in Africa and forms part of the prestigious World Responsible Tourism Awards. Mara Naboisho took the coveted position of Overall Winner from a selection of 24 finalists gathered from around Africa, in a special ceremony at World Travel Market Africa, in Cape Town on 7th April 2016. This is in addition to the Gold award for ‘Best in Wildlife Conservation’.
Winners were recognized for providing leadership in their respective sectors throughout Africa, and effectively contributing to growing tourism in a sustainable manner. Naboisho was selected for its committment to educate and inspire others and for realizing the ambition to use tourism to make better places for people to live in – Great places to live in are great places to visit.
