Visit a traditional Maasai village

maasai_village.jpg
Take a walk up to the Ole Taek manyatta - the neighbouring traditional Maasai village. Meet the mamas and the children to the sound of enchanted songs of the young Maasai warriors, the morans, step into an enkaji - a Maasai house built by cowdung and mud, taste the favourite drink of the Maasai, chai - tea and milk with a lot of sugar and learn about Maasai everyday life, the roles of men and women, the importance of cows. Walk with the cows to the fenced enclosure - boo, watch or even assist in milking the cows, learn more about how the Maasai value their cows - enkishu. Your Maasai guide will give talks and help you talk to the women & the children.

As a sign of respect for the Maasai and their privacy, the manyatta we visit is built mainly to offer an authentic and cultural site open to guests.

45 min, departures daily upon bookings.
