Our Environmental Guidelines for Air Travel
Guest air travel is a substantial contributor to Basecamp’s overall emissions, but is difficult to reduce without undermining the core business model.
There are however ways to limit emissions connected with air travel, without reducing numbers of persons flying or distance flown. An important part of setting reduction goals for Basecamp is identifying and implementing such air travel-related reduction measures.
Basecamp Explorer’s policy for limiting emissions related to air travel includes the following recommendations:
Efficient travel guidelines and practices for company, partners, associates and clients:
- Select the most efficient, yet practical, means of travel.
- Encourage land-based travel where possible.
- Limit baggage.
- Encourage selection of direct flights.
- Fly economy.
