Acknowledgement of risk

Please read and accept the contains of this article before staying in any of our Basecamps.

In consideration of the services of Basecamp Explorer A/S, Oslo and all its subsidiaries, their officers, agents, employees, stockholders and all other persons and entities accociated with those businesses (collectively hereinafter refered to as BASECAMP), I agree as follows;

Although Basecamp has taken reasonable steps to provide me with information, equipment and skilled guides, Basecamp has informed me that their activities are not without risk. Certain risks are inherit in each activity and cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the activity. These inherit risks are some of the same elements that contribute to the unique character of this acitvity and can be causes of loss or damage to your equipment, accidental injury or illness, or – in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death. I realize that even skilled guides may make mistakes. I also understand that the description of these risks is not complete and that other unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury or even death. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary and I elect to participate in spite of and with full knowledge of the inherent risks. I thus agree to assume and accept full responsibility for the risks involved.

I confirm that I am fully capable of participating in these activities. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility for myself, including all minor children in my care, custody and control for bodily injury, death, and loss of of personal property and expenses as a result of those inherent risk and dangers.
I am fully aware that a sufficient insurance for all incidents that may occur, including medical insurance, is my own responsibilty. I am also aware that necessary medical precautions before the visit and the acitivities take place, such as injections against deseases, profilaxes against malaria etc, is my own full responsibility.

Upon booking, I acknowlegde having carefully read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions herein stated. I also acknowledge that these conditions shall be binding and effective upon myself, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, estate and for all members of my familiy, including minor children.

Condition
The company shall be under no liability to the client. His personal representatives and dependants for his death, or any loss, injury, damage or claims whatsoever nature caused directly or indirectly to his belongings in respect of arising during the walking safari or any other services or operations of the company, its agents, servants, or representative. By acceptance of this ticket for him, his personal representatives and dependants hereby release and discharge the company, its agents, events or representatives from all claims.
